Bijan was born on February 14th 1944 in Tehran, Iran. He started painting from the young age of 7. At the very young age Bijan started mastering different mediums. Whether it was oil, acrylic or charcoal, Bijan was painting portraits and abstract painting by his teenage years. As he grew older, he received a scholarship and continued his education in the field of electromechanical engineering from Switzerland. Bijan lived in Paris for a few years after he graduated and spend a year bagpacking across Europe. It was there where he absorbed different styles of painting by living and breathing the air of some of the most influential artists of the world. When Bijan returned to Iran he started a business and opened a factory to sell construction material. After the revolution and the way, Bijan stopped painting and was preoccupied with the obstacles of living in war-torn country.
In the year 2000, Bijan left Iran and resided in Los Angeles CA where he started painting again. It was like picking up a bicycle for him. Right now Bijan is Painting and teaching painting full time out of his Los Angels house.
